Matteo Guendouzi has been ruled out for the rest of the season after sustaining a knee injury in training on Friday.
The midfielder was involved in a collision with a teammate during a training session and had to be taken off the pitch on a stretcher.
Guendouzi is currently sidelined with a torn ACL, which will keep him out until at least the end of next year.
This news comes as a major blow for Rennes, who were already without several key players due to injuries and suspensions.
