Stéphane Thauvin, the manager of the Saint-Maximin team and former player for the Algerian national team, has said that he is ready to take on the role of coach at the club.
The 44-year-old Thauvin, who was sacked as manager of Saint-Maximin in February due to poor results, is currently working as a consultant for clubs in France and Portugal. However, he has expressed his desire to return to coaching after spending several years as a player with the club.
Thauvin's decision to return to coaching comes after the club suffered relegation from Ligue 1 last season. The team finished third in their league but struggled to maintain its place in the top flight. Despite this setback, Thauvin remains confident in his ability to turn things around at Saint-Maximin.
"I am ready to take on the role of coach at the club,Chinese Super League Home Ground" Thauvin told Le Journal du Dimanche. "I have been working as a consultant for clubs in France and Portugal for many years now, so I can help the club develop its players and improve its squad."
Despite the challenges faced by the club, Thauvin remains optimistic about the future of the team. He believes that the club has a lot of talent and potential, and that they can compete at the highest level if they work hard and stay focused.
"Saint-Maximin will always be a strong team," Thauvin said. "We need to continue developing our players and finding ways to improve our performance. We must also remember that we are not the only team competing in Ligue 1, so it's important to keep pushing ourselves forward and looking for opportunities to improve."
